Zentangle Inspired Pencil & Pen Abstract

I created this design on the back of a note card with pencil and pen. I started in the middle with a few lines and then worked my way out to create this particular shape. After I was finished, I added some pencil shading and dots. It is Zentangle-inspired art work.

This is also for sale at eBay. You can see or bid on it by clicking on the link below! :)

Thanks for reading and happy tangling!

Do you believe in the after-life?

One thing that all of us in the world have in common, is that one day, we will pass on from life on this earth. We don't know when or where it will happen, but we will eventually move on. But where will we go?

Those of us who are Christian, believe that we , will live in eternity with God in Heaven. More and more, we are hearing from Mediums who can communicate with the dead-such as the Long Island Medium. Some of us may read books, to research experiences that Mediums have had. I myself have been reading more books on the after-life written by mediums and Christian leaders.

We all get so involved with our every-day lives, that we forget, that in a matter of seconds, all of it could end-right now.  Click here to continue reading about the afterlife....

Poem: I am just a poet

I am Just a Poet

Sitting, thinking, and passing away time
in a cozy and comfy atmosphere.
My mind wanders from past, present, and even dreams of the future.

I'm just a poet, who may spend her day,
lazily glazing outside a window.
Sometimes entertaining myself for hours at a time...
Not even moving a single joint.
Even though my mind has probably traveled cross country!

The magic ink flows through my pen at lightening speeds,
As I write about such things like the stars, love...heartbreak...life...and even sometimes...death.

The stories pour from my heart,
only revealing emotions felt at the current time.

I write what I see, hear, feel, and experience.
I'm just a poet.
Who shares it like it is.
A heartfelt piece of scripture written true...
-a poet who wanted to share her life with you.

Poem: The Old Pop Machine

 POEM: The Old Pop Machine

I see an old pop machine from my childhoodThat brings back memories from the past.My heart aches for those long lost memories,As I wish for a few moments, that again,I could be a child.

Late night walks with my family As we walked the family dog. Talking with my younger brother, Joking with my dad or hearing about mom's work day.

Poem for Memorial Day: "We Remember"

a poem for the Memorial Day Weekend

"We Remember"

On Memorial day, we remember those that we have loved.
Family, friends and those who have fought in war.
All of those who have gone and walked through God's door.

Their memories stay in our heart,
each memory, playing every part.

While truly, they really aren't that far,
Just a heart beat away,
Because they are looking over us
each and every day.

Poem: Weekend Dreams

Weekend Dreams.

The weekend has come and went,
and we will dream about the memories
of the time we spent.

Now it's time for another week,
Working hard to earn our keep.

Until another weekend approaches us once again,
We will have to live on those memories
and all of the wonderful places
that we have been.

Poem: The Gift of Life

(I might have posted this before, but it is a reminder for people to appreciate the life that they have... Life is precious, short and should be enjoyed. With God as a part of your life, you can conquer anything....)

THE GIFT OF LIFE

Life will kick you down,
but then you kick it right back.

Sometimes you felt that it wasn't worth all of the pain,
But there is so much more in life worth to gain.
Don't let life get you down,
God didn't create us to wear a frown.

Why so serious?
Laugh!
God gave us the gift of joyous laughter.
That is definitely one reason to smile.

Sometimes, you have to take a chance.
Roll the dice... and pass go!

Don't get stuck in the mud,
just take off your shoes, and keep on going.
That's why God gave you feet!

It's time to smile, laugh and pick up the pace.
Look up to the sun, and let the light shine on your face.
Bask in God's glorious warmth.

And always remember the simple things...
Without all of those small reminders, life would just be too difficult.

You only live once in this life-time.
Make it worth your while,

Life is the one gift that you can never take back.

If you like this necklace, you can purchase it at the Tangled Art Gifts Store.

Pipe Zentangle

This Zentangle can get a little confusing or make you dizzy if you look at it for too long.
It has many pipes and swirls moving in all directions.

Take a look at it, but don't stare at it for too long!

Rose Zentangle/Doodle

This is a rose Zentangle/doodle that I created. There is some doodling in this design as well. There are several flowers and roses that I created doodles from. Once I was finished, I believe that this turned out to be a beautiful design. I decided to color in some of the flowers red too...

I will be making a few products with this design on it over a Zazzle :)
Enjoy viewing it for now...

Poem: Our Amazing Mind

Our mind can be an amazing tool at times,
But other times, it gets us into trouble,
committing embarrassing crimes.

As we grow old, it becomes increasingly hard to remember,
and it isn't as easy as it once was, to play a memory pretender.

Our mind helps us recall some of the most amazing memories,
But then there are times, that it locks the door,
and doesn't hand us the keys.

There are exercises and mind games,
that help us try to remember people's names.

While these may sometimes help,
It doesn't bring back the feelings from those memories
that we once felt.

To help recall,
we may flip through photo books or browse the pictures
on our wall.

This often ignites a spark,
that turns a light on in the dark.

Videos give us a peak,
to a past that once seemed bleak.

And letters can touch parts of our heart,
that we thought had fallen apart.

When working, our mind is the most helpful key
that helps us learn more about who we once were,
or who we will be.

Hold onto memories that are true and dear,
Because in the end,
Its one of the few things we have left to hold onto
That get us through every one of life's tears.

Zentangle Betweed

This is another "tangle." It is called a Betweed. It's simple to do, yet looks very neat when you combine it with other doodles or tangles. The instructional video is below. You just might be tempted to follow along on your own tile or feel like getting out your materials after watching it! Very inspiring!

Poem: Not Today

Not today...
I'm not gonna let you get me down,
There's no way you're gonna turn my frown upside down…

Today, I'm putting a smile on my face and I'm heading downtown.
Sometimes there's days that I just can't stand the silence
Or the wicked ambiance that you surround me with…
Not today,

Not today.
I'm not gonna let you get me down.
Yes, I may seem a bit independent
But I'm not turning in to someone who is half-spent…

This is my life…
There may come a time-that I have just one day…
You never know when it will end…
It's not always good to be all work and no play…

Cherish the time…
Not today am I going to live like I'm past my prime.

Today,
The sun is going to shine behind that cloud
And I'm gonna spread my smile all around…

Not today…will I cry.

Zentangle Accessories

If you have a variety of Zentangle accessories such as books, pens and paper, you will need a bag to carry it all in. This tote bag is perfect for carrying some of your Zentangle supplies. It even has a Zentangle design on the outside of it. It states "All tangled up inside," as some of us seem to find ourselves to be sometimes...

Tangle of the day: Abstract Flower Design

I just love drawing flowers. There are a variety of little flowers inside this little Zentangle
I just used a Sharpee pen to make this tangle. It was relaxing and a lot of fun.

Poem: You Can

Poem:

You Can
Walking down an old country rocky road,
on a dark and dreary day,
I met an old wise man.
He stopped, and took my hand,
and then told me,

"You can."

Barefoot was he, standing in a white silk robe.
Confused, I turned my head at the old wise man.
His eyes sweetly twinkled with a smile.

"You can, my child," he repeated.

And then he took my hand,
and placed it on my heart.

"Your love will guide you," the wise man told me.

I sighed.
"My heart has been heavy," I replied.

The old wise man in the white silk robe stood still,
and seemed to think for a moment.
He nodded his head, as if he understood.

Suddenly, a bright ray of sunlight
spread across the dark cloudy sky.
Doves gracefully flew all around, over high.
The scene was so beautiful and heavenly,
that tears begun to fall.

Without hesitation,
the wise man moved towards me with open arms.
Immediately, I fell into them and wept.

"My child, although your heart has been heavy,
he still loves and will always be with you.
Soon you will see...

"You can."

From there, he guided me across the rocky rock,
whispering in my ear,
"With his love, anything is possible."

And just like the wind,
the old wise man in the white silk robe was gone.
Giving me the strength to move on.
